LFES PTA and LFMS PTSA are proud to announce our merger and the formation of Las Flores K8 PTSA. Merging two PTAs is a large endeavor. However, this is an exciting opportunity to pull the best practices and ideas from both groups to build anew. Our goal is to create a support system honoring ALL of our Bears, preschool – eighth grade.
We understand our school is unique because Las Flores Preschool – 5th Bears are joined by 6th-8th grade Bears from 2 additional elementary schools, Tijeras Creek and Wagon Wheel. We, as a PTSA, are committed to making sure your efforts and dollars support the programs that are important to you. As in the past, we will design programs that support the school at large, as well as earmarked programs. We will work diligently to communicate clearly and often.
LFK8 PTSA is looking forward to building our team with representation from all of our schools. Our current focus is filling Executive Board positions for the 24-25 school year. The LFK8 Executive Board will serve preschool – 8th grade. The largest change includes two Vice Presidents, a VP of Upper Grades and a VP of Lower, that will work specifically with their groups. Similarly, we will have committees serving the whole school and specific programs. Please refer to the organization chart for more information. There is a place for you to get involved in any way that works for you.
